Can I cross post to other platforms??

Breaking down a common myth

Stop overcomplicating your content strategy

“But can I post the same content on LinkedIn and Twitter/X?”
Short answer: Yes. And you should.

A common myth stops most creators before they even start:

“I can’t post the same thing on different platforms… people will notice.”

Let’s be real: Nobody is following you that closely on all platforms.

And even if they are, they probably don’t care.

Here’s a typical situation for new creators:

  • You write a great Twitter/X thread… but leave LinkedIn silent.

  • You post a killer insight on Instagram… but don’t repurpose it elsewhere.

  • You assume every platform needs a new, original idea every day.

Result: You post less. Your audience doesn’t grow.

And the algorithm never sees enough volume to help you.

Here’s what to do instead:

✅ Start by writing content that works on LinkedIn first:

  • Clear

  • Valuable

  • Story-driven or insight-driven

  • Doesn’t rely on trends or memes to make sense

Then adapt it downstream to:

  • Twitter/X(shorter, more punchy, more opinionated)

  • Instagram (visual, carousel, or reel format)

  • Your newsletter (longer-form version, more in-depth)

This approach forces clarity—and multiplies your output without more work.

You don’t need more ideas. You need more distribution.

For most creators, this approach works well:

Start with content that’s native to LinkedIn. Then repurpose everywhere else.

That’s how you build brand, authority, and momentum.

Keep building!
